This post is our day in Cáceres in pictures.
We visited in March, and only a handful of people were milling about. However, I imagine that summer will be busier.
Cáceres In Pictures
To get to the old part of town, you walk up some steep hills and lots of steps.
Once you’re in the old town, the streets are cobbled and we were thankful we chose the carrier instead of the pram.
(Although Moo did mostly walking that day, anyway.)
Along the way, Moo had plenty of opportunities to do some swinging practise.
We walked under lots of old archways…
…and every now and then, the tight cobbled street would open up into a large square.
There were always little corners that were just ridiculously pretty.
There were several churches…
…and some impressive church doors
In the middle of the old town is a large square full of restaurants and bars…
…which led up to the newer part of town, with shops and restaurants.
We liked that all the streets surrounding the old town looked quite similar, but just a little bit different.
And there were some kind-of-creepy Church statues
