He’s also a dab hand at project management and design, so can advise on all things electrical, from the ground up.

Campervan electrics are his passion, and he has six years of experience in the field.

Jolly has not only designed and installed the electricals for two of his own campervans but also lent his expertise to numerous individuals, empowering them to electrify their own journeys.

If you’re considering converting your camper, Jolly is the perfect person to discuss your electrical ideas with.

He’s helped countless people with installations, design, and general electrical know-how.

Sharing his passion and knowledge is what really gets Jolly buzzing.

He loves to inspire people to tackle electrical projects themselves by lending a helping hand.

Speaking of helping hands, Jolly’s got a good grasp of electrical regulations, especially here in the UK. He’s even got some experience with US regulations, too, so if you’re ever unsure about safety or anything electrical, Jolly’s your man!

His big passions and areas of expertise are all things campervan electrics – inverters, DC-DC charging, solar arrays, DC installations, and even the AC side of things.

Basically, if it powers your van, Jolly can help you with it!

Testimonials

We bumped into Jolly on the road in Morocco having been limping along with an electrical issue for the past 6 months. We had 3 different types of chargers which were all working but none of them efficiently meaning our ‘off grid’ set up needed regular topping up and fiddling with to prevent over discharging.

Whilst at a camp site Jolly was able to diagnose the issue very quickly, fix the said issue and tidy up a few connections for us. Jolly explained everything he was doing in leymans terms so we understood exactly what the issues were and how they were rectified.

A very happy customer with a perfectly working off grid electrical system now!

Thank you Jolly.

First became aware of Jolly @ Vandercamp Adventures via Liveration on YouTube, then the Vandercamp Adventures channel.

I contacted Jolly as he’d installed the same (Renogy) inverter/charger as the one we will be commissioning shortly. He has made a pair of very informative YouTube videos around this subject and was also able to offer some 1:1 consultation for some of the details that still managed to elude me.

Jolly also provided a parts list and diagrams to assist. Very courteous, helpful and happy to help! My knowledge has definitely been increased by interacting with Jolly, I highly recommend doing the same if you are in need of a consultation.

Jolly has also provided a detailed explanation of earthing and bonding, I have definitely learned from him and will use this knowledge on the fourth vehicle I’m working on (Moo the campervan).

I came across Jolly on YouTube while searching for detailed and helpful videos on 12v electrical systems. Jolly was very responsive and answered every question I had within 24 hours, often within just a few hours.

The assistance and advice he gave was very helpful and explained in a way that anyone, from a beginner to a professional, could understand and feel confident in their work.

Jolly provided a 5-star service, was friendly, and I would highly recommend reaching out to him. I will if I ever need assistance or help in the future.

I found Jolly by searching YouTube for “Renogy Inverter Charger earthing & neutral bonding” and found his Renogy Inverter Charger Installation – Part 2 | Complete Guide inc RCD Protection video.

Jolly is very personable and responsive.

There is a lot of advice about earth bonding (bonded neutral in the US) but Jolly’s is the only one I recommend people watch. He has genuine expertise and caring to share it. If he doesn’t know something, he’ll tell you and follow up with you later.

After an introductory email, I sent him a schematic of the existing wiring of my inverter charger in the system, and he got back to me with corrections quickly. It took a couple of iterations (due to my inexperience and the fact I was working with a North American 120V rather than the UK”s 240V system in his video), but he researched the difference and provided excellent advice about using a 2 NO/2NC contactor. Problem solved.

I first found Jolly while searching Youtube for inverter installation information.

I contacted Jolly for advice on wiring it up and he was very quick with his response which even included a wiring diagram!

I cannot thank Jolly enough for the help he has given me especially as in my case the installation was going in to a wide beam boat.

His video was clear, easy to understand and explained a lot of electrical principles in simple terms , great!

I cannot recommend Jolly enough if you require some electrical installation assistance with your Renogy equipment and definitely will be buying him a pint if he ever visits Cambridge!
