Before heading to Algeciras to get our ferry to Morocco, we stayed a few days in Tarifa.
This post is a quick tour of our time in Tarifa in pictures.
Tarifa In Pictures
It’s only half an hour from Algeciras, and you can see Morocco.
It’s known as Spain’s windiest city, making it a haven for kitesurfing.
But if you prefer relaxing, just chill out on the white sand.
Or take a walk along the promenade and spot street art and statues.
In Spring, flowers take over the beach.
There’s a big play park on the promenade and more in the town.
Explore the twisting cobbled streets of the Old Town.
And (if you’re visiting in Spring) enjoy the heady scent of orange blossom as you explore.
Visit the main street, lined with coffee shops and bakeries, with a stunning Catholic Church at the end.
If you need refreshments, there are plenty of bars and cafes.
Trendy bars sit next to old architecture.
And spot the Catholic iconography.
